Pouco antes do início do evento que receberia o ex-presidente Lula (PT) e o ex-prefeito de Belo Horizonte Alexandre Kalil (PSD), um drone sobrevoou a Universidade do Triângulo Mineiro (Unitri), local do evento, jogando fezes e urina nos apoiadores que já estavam a postos aguardando o evento.
Uma correria tomou conta do local e apoiadores de Lula tentaram jogar pedaços de pau e pedras e foram repreendidos pela segurança, devido ao risco de se acertar alguém.
Outros militantes pularam o muro de um condomínio ao lado da Unitri, de onde suspeitavam ter vindo o drone.
Após o acontecimento, o forte odor tomou conta do local. Organizadores jogaram desinfetante para minimizar, porém o cheiro persistiu.
Após o acontecido, a Polícia Militar realizou diligências e localizou o dono do drone, em entrevista, Policiais militares disseram que além do dono do equipamento, outras duas pessoas foram detidas e que o drone foi apreendido.
